Lao National Assembly Chairman visits Binh Dien Fertilizer Company

(NLDO) - Lao National Assembly Chairman Xaysomphone Phomvihane recently visited Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company in the context of the two countries actively promoting agricultural cooperation.

Since 2023, Binh Dien Company has established a cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group of Laos, marking an important step in exporting Dau Trau brand NPK fertilizer to the Lao market.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Lao National Assembly visited the 3,000-ton inland port of Binh Dien.

Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, said that Binh Dien's products have been present in Laos since very early (2006) through partners from Vietnam.

Since 2023, Binh Dien Company has established a cooperative relationship with Phongsavanh Group of Laos through the signing of a cooperation agreement between Binh Dien Quang Tri Joint Stock Company and PHAIBOUN TRAIDING IM&EX Co. Ltd. (two member companies of Binh Dien Company and Phongsavanh Group).

"We not only want to bring high-quality fertilizer products but also want to share the knowledge and farming experience that have been accumulated during our operations in Vietnam. This shows that the cooperation does not stop at the commercial aspect but also aims to improve the agricultural production capacity of Lao farmers," Mr. Dong expressed.

Within the framework of cooperation, Binh Dien Company has sent leading experts in the field of soil and crop agrochemistry to Laos for research and evaluation; at the same time, it has brought Dau Trau fertilizer products to important growing areas in Champasak, Salavan and Savanakhet provinces.

The total export turnover of Dau Trau fertilizer to the Lao market in 2024 will reach 2,000 tons with revenue of nearly 1 million USD, showing strong growth potential in the future.
