Within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the morning of August 22, President Vo Van Thuong, together with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and a high-ranking delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Chu Dau Pottery Village (Hai Duong province).
This is one of the pottery villages with a long history and many sophisticated products of Vietnamese ceramic art, displayed and introduced in many countries around the world.
President Vo Van Thuong and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev listened to an introduction to the unique features of Chu Dau ceramics and admired the booths displaying unique ceramic products, and visited the production workshop where artisans from the Ceramic Village are working.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed his impression of the sophistication, uniqueness and traditional values of Chu Dau ceramics.
After trying to create a ceramic vase together, the two leaders congratulated Hai Duong province and Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company for successfully restoring the precious traditional historical ceramic product line; at the same time, they hoped that Hai Duong and businesses would continue to promote, develop and bring Chu Dau ceramic products to the world.

Chu Dau village is located in Thai Tan commune, Nam Sach district, Hai Duong city, about 80 km from Hanoi capital. Chu Dau ceramics belong to the high-class ancient ceramic line of Vietnam, a symbol of the "rice civilization" from the 13th century and was honored as "Royal symbolic products" at the end of the 17th century.
Currently, Chu Dau ceramic works are respectfully preserved and displayed in 46 famous museums in 32 countries around the world.
Each Chu Dau ceramic work contains many meanings, has its own characteristics, expressed in the shape, the color of the rice husk ash glaze, the sophisticated patterns, rich in pure Vietnamese cultural identity. Chu Dau ceramic holds an important position in the history of Vietnamese handicrafts and is a traditional craft passed down from hundreds of years ago.
With their talented hands and creativity, the artisans and potters of Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company have successfully revived the ancient Chu Dau ceramic line and created thousands of products, reviving and elevating ancient Chu Dau ceramics to new heights, meeting the expectations of many domestic and international customers.
