Hung Yen completes measles vaccination campaign

Implementing the expanded vaccination plan of the Ministry of Health , under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, from March 26 to 31, the Department of Health conducted a vaccination campaign to prevent and control measles.

Previously, the Provincial Center for Disease Control received over 15,700 doses of vaccine from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to serve the vaccination campaign, and distributed vaccines and solvents to medical centers in districts, towns and cities according to the plans of the units.

At the end of the campaign, according to the initial summary in the whole province, the number of children who were vaccinated reached 94.9%. Of which, 98.51% of children aged 6 to 10 years old were vaccinated, 96.40% of children aged 1 to 5 years old were vaccinated, and 83.6% of children aged 6 to 9 months old were vaccinated. Children who were not vaccinated during the campaign were vaccinated in the following months.

The vaccination campaign was safe, with no children suffering severe reactions after vaccination.
