Digital transformation leads to skills transformation

The digital transformation plan for the banking industry has set a target that by 2025, 50% of banking operations will be digitized; 70% of customer transactions will be conducted on digital channels; 50% of retail loans and consumer loans for individuals will be digitized and automated. These figures show that the Vietnamese banking industry is actively applying digital technology to bring higher efficiency in operations and service provision.

To achieve the above goal, the banking industry has prepared early on digital infrastructure to ensure smooth operation for the above digital transactions. According to the State Bank, by October 2022, the banking industry had invested about VND 15,000 billion in digital transformation. According to the Vietnam Banking Association (2023), about 94% of banks in Vietnam have invested in digital technology, with about 15-30% of the total IT budget allocated to digital banking development. About 67% of banks have deployed AI and machine learning in their operations.

The digital transformation wave is bringing about fundamental changes in the way banks operate. Electronic transactions replace traditional transactions, back-office processes are automated, leading to significant changes in the resource structure and capacity requirements of banking personnel.

Customer Relations - Core Skills

No matter how much technology develops, the human factor still plays an indispensable role in the banking industry, including the role of customer relationship specialists as a bridge to customers. They are the ones who maintain, strengthen and develop customer relationships, in order to maximize customer needs for products and services. Each customer has different circumstances, needs and financial goals, so the ability to listen, understand and provide advice suitable for each individual is something that technology algorithms can hardly do as well as humans.

According to a survey by FiinGroup (2023), 65% of Vietnamese customers still want direct human advice when making important financial decisions. This shows that communication skills, financial advice and customer relationship building will still have many opportunities to develop even in the context of strong digitalization.

In the current training market, TWings Academy - www.twings.edu.vn (belonging to TNTalent, a member of ROX Group) is a pioneer in Vietnam to introduce a practical training model. This model helps students practice skills in a real business environment, closely following the actual job requirements at banks, including professional knowledge, skills in using digital solutions, and problem-solving skills. This helps fill the knowledge gap between the classroom and practice for students, helping them quickly grasp the opportunity to enter the labor market in the always "hot" field of finance - banking.

In particular, confident with the unique practical program in the market, along with the reputation of Twings Academy in the banking industry, the unit receives salary support during the field study period and commits that 100% of graduates will have jobs at partner banks.

Talking about the role of TWings Academy in preparing the young workforce, the Human Resources Director of MSB - one of TWings' strategic partners - shared: "The cooperation between MSB and TWings Academy is a strategic step to train and develop high-quality human resources. We believe that, with a practical training foundation and strong commitment from TWings, students will have a solid foundation to become excellent personnel in the banking industry."

On March 17, TWings Academy successfully organized a seminar with the theme “On trend office - Breakthrough style, reveal your own personality” at the National Economics University. The program attracted the participation of many students, especially young people who want to assert themselves in the banking sector.

The event not only provided useful sharing on personal image building skills and professional style shaping, but also created opportunities for young people to practice taking professional profile photos. The high-quality photos help students feel more confident in "catching the wave" of new opportunities and be ready to conquer challenges in their careers.

With the cooperation between TWings Academy and prestigious partners, the journey of building a high-quality young workforce for the banking industry will go even further. TWings Academy is opening the door for young people to confidently enter the modern banking world, ready to develop and assert themselves.
