The Prime Minister decided to merge Nghi An College of Education into Nghe An University of Economics and change the name to Nghi An University.

On December 26, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed the Prime Minister's decision on merging Nghe An Pedagogical College into Nghe An University of Economics.

At the same time, change the name of Nghe An University of Economics to Nghe An University, under the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

According to the decision, Nghe An University is a public university with legal status, its own seal and account, and operates in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nghe An province to direct relevant agencies and units to carry out the handover and acceptance of the personnel, finance, assets, and students of Nghe An Pedagogical College to Nghe An University of Economics and reorganize and change the name to Nghe An University in accordance with the law.

The Head of Government noted that the process of merging, reorganizing and renaming must ensure normal operations, legitimate and legal rights and interests of relevant parties, and prevent negativity, loss and waste of finance and assets.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to direct and guide Nghe An University on training and granting degrees to students studying at Nghe An Pedagogical College in accordance with the law.

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed a decision to merge Hai Duong Medical College under the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee into Hai Duong Medical Technical University under the Ministry of Health.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Health and the People's Committee of Hai Duong province to direct relevant agencies and units to hand over and receive the personnel, finance, assets, and students of Hai Duong Medical College to Hai Duong Medical Technical University in accordance with the law.

According to the Prime Minister's request, the merger and reorganization process must ensure normal operations, legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties, and prevent negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to direct, guide training and grant degrees to students studying at Hai Duong Medical College according to the provisions of law.
