Military expert, retired Russian Army Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk doubts the special military operation (SVO) could end in 2024.
Previously, Deputy Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Apti Alaudinov expressed confidence that SVO could end in 2024 with Russia's victory.
“You know, in terms of timing, I obviously wouldn’t be so enthusiastic, because there are a lot of factors that influence this, including economic, social and, most importantly, military. Ukraine is receiving support from the West. This is what is prolonging the conflict. However, I am 100% confident that Russia will win,” said expert Anatoly Matviychuk.

Former Ukrainian official raises scenario of dividing the country
Former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, Alexey Arestovich on his personal Telegram channel “revealed” the West's plans for Ukraine.
According to him, if the Russian Army continues to win and expand its control, Western countries will send troops and deploy them along the Dnieper River. This plan is similar to the scenario of the country being divided a century ago.
“In this scenario, we will lose the right bank of the Dnieper. Ukraine went through this scenario a hundred years ago,” Alexey Arestovich wrote, explaining that at that time Ukraine, with its wrong policy, lost control over many territories.
The former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine stressed that such trends are constantly being put forward by Western partners and there are no signs that they will change them if the conflict continues to escalate.
Earlier, in an interview with the YouTube channel “Caution: Sobchak”, Alexey Arestovich expressed the opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s strategy towards Ukraine “has every chance of success” and called on Kiev to think about it.
