Confirming with VietNamNet reporters tonight (December 27), Hai Duong City leaders confirmed: Local police are investigating the cause of the fire that occurred in the Tran Hung Dao residential area (Nhi Chau ward), where residents have just moved in.

This is a housing project for low-income people in Hai Duong province. Each building is 15 floors high, invested by Newland Investment Joint Stock Company.

According to initial information from authorities, at around 5:30 a.m. today, a fire in a residential area damaged three cars.

The scene showed that the fire started from a car parked on the sidewalk in front of the building. The fire then spread to a white Mitsubishi Xpander and then to a Mercedes Benz parked in the same row. Upon discovering the incident, residents and the building management tried to put out the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby vehicles.

As a result, the white car where the fire started was burned down to its frame. The other two cars were partially burned and are currently unusable.
