Mr. Lavrov made the statement at a dialogue between young diplomats from Asia-Pacific countries, held on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) on September 3.
The Russian Foreign Minister affirmed: "Today, we can see the formation of a truly multipolar world order. This process is accompanied by the shift of the world's development centers to Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific, thereby strengthening the potential of such important associations as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)."
Russia has traditionally been ready to cooperate closely with all those who share the values of equality and mutual respect, and "your forum allows us to implement this in practice," the diplomat stressed.
According to the head of Russian diplomacy, the dialogue between young diplomats has become a unique forum for young people working for Asia-Pacific foreign policy agencies to "exchange views on a wide range of issues on the international agenda, establish useful contacts and make new friends."
The EEF is taking place at Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia from September 3-6. The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
