Every time Tet comes, with the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people, activities to care for the poor are carried out by the entire political system and social community, helping the less fortunate to have a warmer and happier Tet. Warm gifts, sharing hearts, and the community's cooperation have helped the poor and those in difficult circumstances have a fuller and warmer Tet.
Every year, the Program of caring for the poor during Tet, showing gratitude, and humanitarian charity is focused on with many forms of visiting, giving gifts, organizing medical examinations and treatment, providing free medicine... In 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations mobilized agencies, units, and enterprises inside and outside the province to support 266,427 gifts, worth over 115.5 billion VND for poor households, near-poor households, and households in especially difficult circumstances during the Tet holiday.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee allocated over 4.3 billion VND from the Provincial "For the Poor" Fund to present 8,366 gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the province; The Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations mobilized philanthropists, benefactors, agencies, units and enterprises inside and outside the province to support tens of thousands of Tet gifts, mobilizing all social resources to take care of Tet for the poor and those in difficult circumstances. This is a practical activity that contributes to bringing a loving, warm and meaningful Tet so that the poor have more motivation to improve their lives.
Through the Provincial Red Cross Society, benefactors, agencies and units inside and outside the province have donated more than 30,000 Tet gifts worth more than 18 billion VND to poor households, households in difficult circumstances, households with people infected with Agent Orange, people with disabilities, patients with difficult circumstances suffering from serious illnesses, households affected by natural disasters in 2024. On the occasion of Tet this year, 28 charity houses were also completed to help the poor enjoy the Spring Festival in warm and loving houses. In addition to mobilizing Tet gifts through the "Charitable Tet" program, the Associations at all levels also cooperate with units to organize free medical examinations and medicine, build humanitarian houses, support nutrition for poor and disabled children, give school supplies to poor students, give gifts to poor patients being treated at the hospital and many practical activities towards people in difficult circumstances...
Together with the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front, the Red Cross of localities, socio-political organizations and many agencies, units and enterprises have also accompanied the social security work in general and the work of taking care of Tet for the poor in particular such as: Through the Fund "Tet to every home" founded by Phu Tho Newspaper with the support of many enterprises, units and philanthropists, Tet has been brought to the poor, the disabled, and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in the province; The program "Tet giving love to children with cerebral palsy" organized by the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of the province in coordination with the Association of Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy of Phu Tho; The program "Warm Spring - Spring At Ty 2025" with Sacombank; The program "Tet of Love" of the Provincial Women's Union...
Receiving Tet gifts from the “For the Poor” Fund, 95-year-old Ha Thi Kheo from Thanh Ha commune, Thanh Ba district emotionally shared: I am a poor single-parent household living with my younger brother’s family, in poor health, and have difficulty moving around. With the attention of all levels and sectors, and everyone giving me Tet gifts, I am very happy and thank everyone very much.
Tens of thousands of gifts were given to poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the area, showing affection, sharing, and community responsibility to help those in difficult circumstances rise up in life, welcoming the warm and loving Tet At Ty 2025.
