(CTTĐTBP) - On the morning of April 9, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh, Head of the Steering Committee chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

At the meeting, delegates listened to the representative of the Provincial Party Committee report on the draft Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units and the representative of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board report on the draft Project on rearranging the local party organization system corresponding to the 2-level government; at the same time, discussed and gave opinions on these 2 draft projects.
Director of the Department of Home Affairs Tran Thanh Hoa approved the draft Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units.
Standing Committee member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Nguyen Hong Tra approved the draft Project on rearranging the local party organization system corresponding to the 2-level government.
Currently, the province has 11 district-level administrative units (including 1 city, 3 towns, 7 districts) with 111 communes, wards and towns. According to the draft Project on rearranging commune-level administrative units, after rearranging, the number of commune-level administrative units and equivalents in the province will be reduced by more than 50%. It is expected that the province will have 48 grassroots administrative units. The rearrangement of the local party organization system will be carried out on the basis of rearranging grassroots administrative units.

Discussing at the meeting, opinions were basically in agreement with the two draft projects, and at the same time, it was believed that the arrangement of grassroots administrative units, in addition to the prescribed factors, should focus on connectivity, expand development space, and consider the scope of mineral planning in some localities.
Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh, Head of the Steering Committee delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Ton Ngoc Hanh, Head of the Steering Committee, requested that the standing agencies directly collect maximum opinions at the meeting to supplement and complete the project. Military and border agencies review and evaluate factors related to national defense and security. Districts, towns and cities continue to review and give opinions within the scope of their local arrangements, and at the same time prepare for personnel work and post-arrangement operating models associated with the goal of improving the quality of cadres and serving the people better./.
