In 2021, the Prime Minister approved the investment policy for the project to build three new hospitals: Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, Thu Duc Regional General Hospital with a total capital of more than 5,600 billion VND.

Dr. Dang Quoc Quan - Director of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital - said that the hospital will accept inpatients from January 4, 2024 in Area A. Area B is in the final stage of completion and is expected to be put into operation in 2024.

Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital has a helipad on the 12th floor to meet the needs of air ambulances. In addition, the hospital project also creates land to build an additional 500 inpatient beds when there is a need for expansion.
"When we get older, we are afraid of having to travel far. Having a medical examination near our home like this saves us a lot of time and travel costs. People here are also looking forward to the opening of Building B soon so that the hospital will be more spacious and modern" - patient Minh shared when having a medical examination at Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital on the afternoon of May 29.
Building B (phase 2 of the new hospital) is under urgent construction. Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online, a representative of the project management board said that the project has reached 95% progress and is expected to be completed in 2024.
On March 5, 2024, the hospital completed the relocation of the entire nephrology - dialysis department to the new facility. After 13 years of traveling back and forth between hospitals to fight the disease, Mr. Ha Tan Dat (36 years old) was excited that he could now undergo weekly dialysis at a hospital near his home. "My house is lonely, my mother is also old, so now that I am closer to home, I can go back and forth to the hospital myself, and I feel more secure in treating my illness," said Mr. Dat.
From the 1st to the 3rd floor of Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, a skylight is designed to bring in natural light. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh (construction engineer) said that the new hospital was built according to modern standards, in addition to the facilities, it also focuses on green space, making it comfortable for patients when they come for examination.
Thu Duc Regional General Hospital located at 64 Le Van Chi Street, Linh Trung Ward, Thu Duc City is under construction next to the old hospital.
The 10-storey building has a total floor area of 78,281m² and a scale of 1,000 hospital beds. The total investment cost is 1,915 billion VND. Mr. Ly Bich - commander, Construction Joint Stock Company No. 5 (contractor) - said that the project is speeding up its progress, workers are working overtime on weekends and holidays to complete and put into use in September this year.
On the morning of May 31, Mr. Minh Tuan, who takes care of the green space on the 3rd floor of the hospital, shared: "We are very excited that such a large-scale, modern hospital is about to be put into operation, and patients will have less waiting time when coming for examination."
The new Cu Chi Regional General Hospital in Tan An Hoi Commune, Cu Chi District (HCMC) has a total investment of VND 1,854 billion, starting construction on January 15, 2021.
The hospital is built on an area of over 6 hectares, with a scale of 13 floors above ground, a technical infrastructure scale of 1,000 beds and a patient care scale of 500 modern, high-quality beds...
Currently, the hospital is also in the process of completing the main building and surrounding ancillary works. At the same time, investment in equipment procurement is also being implemented to put the hospital into operation in 2024.
