According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, in 2025, all 3 newly built hospitals at the gateway area of the city will be put into operation, including: Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital and Cu Chi Regional General Hospital.
Of which, Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital and Thu Duc Regional General Hospital will be inaugurated in April 2025, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

This hospital will meet the health care needs of people in the eastern part of the city and neighboring provinces in the Southeast region.
The project will have 1 basement, 10 floors above ground, with a total construction area of 78,281 m2.
As for Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, it is expected to be put into operation in August 2025 and inaugurated in September 2025, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). When put into operation, the hospital will have 1,000 beds with 1,250 medical staff.
After completing construction, Cu Chi Regional General Hospital came into operation, with the orientation of developing into a complete Grade I general hospital.
The hospital will have full range of specialties to meet the medical examination and treatment needs of people in Cu Chi district and neighboring areas, and at the same time attract patients from Cambodia for treatment.
For medical equipment procurement packages, the City's Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board will organize bidding to select contractors for packages in the medical equipment project of 3 gateway hospitals in the first quarter of 2025.
