Cam Thuy strives to have 100% of communes meeting new rural standards by 2025

The Cam Thuy Party Executive Committee has just held a conference to evaluate the implementation of tasks in 2024; discuss and agree on goals, tasks and main solutions for 2025.

In 2024, Party committees at all levels, authorities, Vietnam Fatherland Front, mass organizations, business communities and people of all ethnic groups in Cam Thuy district have synchronously deployed the tasks and solutions set forth in the Resolution of the District Party Executive Committee.

Accordingly, 27/27 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan. The economy maintained a high growth rate. The production value of the agricultural sector was estimated at over VND 2,636 billion, up 4.07% over the same period; the industry - construction sector was estimated at VND 3,142 billion, equal to 106.8%, up 6.15% over the same period; the production value of the service sector was estimated at VND 3,046 billion, up 4.87%. The state budget revenue was estimated at nearly VND 165 billion, equal to 155% of the provincial estimate and 126% of the district estimate.

The new rural development program continues to be promoted, with 3 communes meeting the new rural standards and 1 commune meeting the advanced new rural standards this year. The district meets 4/9 criteria for a new rural district; 7 OCOP products are evaluated and classified by the Council to be recognized as 3-star OCOP products.

Culture and society continue to have progressive changes; the quality of key education increases, many exams are ranked at the top in the whole province; social security policies and policies for workers are fully, promptly and properly implemented.

National defense and security are ensured, social order and safety are maintained. The district has successfully organized the 2024 defense zone exercise. The work of building the Party and the political system has been innovated and achieved positive results.

During the year, the district also directed the effective implementation of Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated March 30, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on "The campaign to support housing construction for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in the province in the 2 years 2024-2025" with a mobilized amount of over 6 billion VND.

Determining that 2025 is a very important year, deciding the results of implementing the goals of the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress, the delegates agreed on 27 main targets and 8 groups of key tasks and solutions for 2025, in which striving: Production value growth rate reaches 5.99% or higher; average income per capita reaches 60.5 million VND or higher; total mobilized development investment capital reaches over 2,300 billion VND; 45 new enterprises are established; 100% of communes meet NTM standards...
