How BIM Land and IHG work together in high-end projects

With 6 signed projects, of which 4 projects have been put into operation and one project is about to be put into operation early next year, BIM Land and IHG have proven their effective cooperation strategy after nearly a decade of working together.

In just a few months, InterContinental Halong Bay - the first luxury coastal resort under the InterContinental brand in the North, invested by BIM Land - a member of BIM Group, will come into operation. The investor is rushing to enter the final stage of completion to welcome the peak tourist season in Ha Long in 2025. This is also the project marking the 5th cooperation between BIM Land and the "giant" in the global hotel management industry - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).

As a global corporation with nearly 80 years of experience, IHG has the right to be "picky" when choosing partners to expand its brand in countries with a series of strict requirements related to design standards, construction quality and service infrastructure... BIM Land has proven its strength by becoming one of IHG's leading partners in Southeast Asia with 6 signed projects, of which 4 projects have been put into operation in Vietnam and Laos.

Success from the first handshake

The first successful milestone of the cooperation between these two brands is the Crowne Plaza Vientiane hotel. Opening the first 5-star hotel in Laos in 2017, IHG, with the support of BIM Group, has become the first international 5-star hotel operator in the "Land of a Million Elephants". Following that success, BIM Land and IHG have just inaugurated the Holiday Inn & Suites Vientiane hotel in October, part of the 5-star hotel complex - leading commercial center and high-end office in the capital Vientiane - Laos.

Successful projects in Laos not only affirm the achievements of the strategic partnership between BIM Land and IHG but also play a role in promoting cultural exchange and development cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

In addition to their footprints abroad, BIM Land and IHG focus on developing the domestic market by setting foot in a series of top tourist destinations.

On Phu Quoc Island, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort was launched to visitors in January 2019. This resort is highly appreciated by experts and international travel magazines with a collection of domestic and international titles, notably the award for the best luxury family resort in Asia and Vietnam voted by World Travel Awards for 6 consecutive years. According to BIM Land's Performance Report, as of the end of August this year, InterContinental Phu Quoc had a Revenue Generation Index (RGI) of 1.54, showing that the revenue per available room of this resort is superior to the market average.

Not stopping there, demonstrating the efforts to set new luxury resort standards in Phu Quoc in particular and Vietnam in general, BIM Land convinced IHG to bring the Regent brand to the Pearl Island. Opening in 2022, Regent Phu Quoc is the first coastal resort with the Regent brand in Southeast Asia, positioned as 6 stars with designs and experiences that emphasize uniqueness - true to the service philosophy of this brand.

InterContinental Halong Bay is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2025.

Following the success of the resorts in Phu Quoc, BIM Land and IHG expanded to the Northern market with InterContinental Halong Bay. The project is expected to be a boost for the Northern resort market, which does not have many large-scale international branded hotels and resorts developed according to luxury resort standards.
