Southern universities announce floor scores using graduation exam scores

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has just announced the minimum admission score based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores. According to the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the minimum admission score for the 2024 school year, for full-time undergraduate programs, is from 16 to 20 points.

In this method, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade recruits 34 majors with a minimum score of 16 - 20 points. The minimum score is the minimum score (without coefficient) of candidates who are high school students in region 3 for each group of subjects for admission, including 3 exams/subjects corresponding to each major; the calculation of regional and subject priority points is according to current admission regulations.

Similarly, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has also announced the minimum score threshold for candidates to apply for full-time university admission in 2024 by considering high school graduation exam scores.

Accordingly, the school's minimum score ranges from 16 to 20 points. The majors with the highest minimum score (24 points) include: data science, computer and information technology, information technology (English enhancement program), computer science (advanced program) and artificial intelligence.

The school notes that candidates must have scores that satisfy the following conditions: the total score of the subjects/tests of the subject/test combination (including priority points if any) used for university admission must reach the admission registration score corresponding to the major/group of majors; no exam or component subject in the subject/test combination for admission has a result of 1.0 point or lower.

For majors/groups of majors with English in the admission subject group: only use the English test results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, do not use the results of exemption from the English test.
