During the Giap Thin Lunar New Year holiday, the province's tourist areas and spots attracted a large number of visitors to visit and worship. This is a good sign signaling a prosperous year for Ninh Binh tourism industry.

According to the reporter's records, this year's holiday took place in sunny and warm weather, so all tourist areas and spots in the province were bustling with visitors.

The most crowded and vibrant area is Hoa Lu Ancient Town. With the constant renewal of tourism products, this place has welcomed a large number of visitors during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Diep Anh, Hoa Lu Ancient Town Management Board, during this Tet holiday, the unit has coordinated to organize the "Old Tet Market" with many attractive activities. On average, every day this place welcomes tens of thousands of tourists to visit, check-in, and sightsee.

Participating in the market, visitors can experience many activities related to cuisine, crafts, decoration, etc. along with many unique art programs and folk games.

"We hope that through the market, we will contribute to honoring and promoting traditional cultural values and typical local products, while bringing the traditional Tet atmosphere, thereby contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and Vietnamese people," said Ms. Diep Anh.

At Bai Dinh Pagoda, from the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, the place has opened its doors to welcome people and visitors to come and worship at the beginning of the year. Especially, on the third day of the Lunar New Year, the number of visitors here increased dramatically.

According to the Bai Dinh Pagoda Management Board, on the 3rd day alone, the place welcomed 21,000 visitors. To ensure the safety of visitors visiting, worshiping and attending the Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival which opened on the 6th day of the first lunar month, the Pagoda Management Board coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to develop plans and solutions to ensure a safe and thoughtful reception of visitors.

Ms. Tran Thi Anh Thu (a tourist from Hai Phong) said: "My family decided to choose Ninh Binh as a spring travel destination at the beginning of the new year because in addition to the beautiful landscape, this place also has many meaningful historical and cultural relics. We went to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, visited Trang An, and Bai Dinh Pagoda. Hopefully after the trip, the children will understand and be more proud of the good traditions of the nation, especially the contributions of the ancestors."

According to data from the Department of Tourism, during the 5-day Lunar New Year holiday (from the 28th to the 3rd day of Tet), Ninh Binh welcomed nearly 235,000 visitors, including 26,330 international visitors and 208,000 domestic visitors. On the 3rd day alone, the number of visitors increased dramatically with nearly 110,000 visitors. Some tourist areas and spots that attracted a lot of visitors were Trang An Tourist Area with 21,500 visitors, Bai Dinh Pagoda with 21,000 visitors, Thung Nham Bird Garden with 13,000 visitors, Hoa Lu Ancient Town with 26,000 visitors, etc.

To meet the needs of tourists during the Lunar New Year, localities and tourism businesses in the province proactively promote their strengths, actively upgrade, supplement, build and renew tourism products to increase new experiences, create highlights to attract a large number of tourists during the holidays and Tet.

In addition to decorating spring landscapes, businesses also implement incentive and gratitude programs for customers such as free opening, discounts on many product and service packages to attract tourists.

The number of visitors to Ninh Binh is expected to continue to increase in the coming days. The Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has requested tourism service businesses to continue to strengthen measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe and economical Tet holiday; strictly implement regulations on registration and price listing, ensure service quality, security, safety, focus on fire prevention and fighting, etc.

With the activeness and proactiveness of business units and the close and specific direction of state management agencies, the tourism industry has welcomed visitors safely and thoughtfully in recent days. Thereby creating a good impression in the hearts of domestic and international tourists, continuing to affirm the brand and position of the ancient capital on the domestic and world tourism map.
