Following the success of the One Global Vietnam-La Francophonie 2024 event in France, the Organization of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) continues to affirm its role as a knowledge bridge through the One Global Vietnam – ASEAN 2024 event in Malaysia from November 23-24.
The event was held on the occasion of General Secretary To Lam's visit to this country with a focus on ASEAN cooperation mechanisms, attracting the participation of many Vietnamese experts, scientists and businessmen from 9/10 ASEAN countries, along with representatives from France, Austria, South Korea and Taiwan (China).

From research to practical application
The event focused on discussing key topics such as economics, technology, culture and security, aiming to shape Vietnam's position in the region.
Dr. Dinh Thanh Huong, Executive Director of Knowledge and Projects of AVSE Global, emphasized the importance of scientific research in building science, innovation and promoting outstanding development of countries, promoting the training of high-quality human resources.
Thousands of Vietnamese experts and intellectuals are living and working globally in many different fields, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence... always looking towards Vietnam and wishing to contribute to Vietnam's development process.
She also proposed initiatives such as VietSearch – a modern technology platform connecting the global knowledge community, along with typical programs such as Vietnam Global Innovation Summit, or Small and Medium Enterprise Day. These are specific steps to promote cooperation between Vietnamese experts in the ASEAN region.
Multidisciplinary vision: From technology to culture
One Global Vietnam-ASEAN is not only about discussions but also the voice of the desire to contribute, where Vietnamese experts, scientists, and businessmen from all over ASEAN and the world share a great dream: shaping Vietnam's role in the regional development map.
Expert Duong Nguyen Vu from Singapore emphasized the important role of science, technology and innovation in building a modern economy in the age of technology and artificial intelligence.

He proposed establishing the Science and Technology Advisory Council as a research and strategic advisory body for the Party and State, to ensure autonomous and sustainable development in this field.
He also affirmed his own readiness and that of the Vietnamese scientific community abroad to contribute to the national development process.
Petroleum engineer Vu Chi Cuong from Malaysia, Secretary General of the Petroleum Association of Malaysia, shares his observations and comments on Malaysia's renewable energy development strategy, especially in ensuring energy security and sustainable development.
He expressed his confidence that with available resources and potential, Vietnam is fully capable of successfully implementing national development strategies in the coming period.
Not only limited to the scientific field, the event also portrayed a multidimensional picture of culture and economy. Dr. Mai Xuan Hung from Thailand emphasized Vietnam's soft power through cultural diplomacy, proposing the establishment of Vietnamese cultural centers in ASEAN, contributing to spreading traditional values.
In addition, Mr. Nguyen Khac Kien in Myanmar and Ms. Pham Xuan Dung in Cambodia also shared about the efforts of the Vietnamese business community in promoting international trade.
Practical policies to support businesses in overcoming difficulties and simplify investment procedures to facilitate Vietnamese businesses operating abroad are emphasized.
Connecting knowledge and sustainable development
The event not only focused on vision but also provided practical solutions. One of the outstanding ideas proposed by Dr. Dinh Thanh Huong was to build a set of ASEAN trade standards and database, creating a "common language" to help increase transparency and efficiency of economic cooperation.
She also stressed the importance of holding major events such as national anniversaries to connect communities and promote digital exports – a necessary step to take advantage of opportunities in an increasingly dynamic ASEAN context.
One Global Vietnam-ASEAN 2024 is not only an event but also a symbol of the Vietnamese spirit of global connection and innovation.

With the participation of a large number of intellectuals in and outside the region, the event laid the foundation for long-term strategies, while affirming the aspirations and responsibilities of Vietnamese intellectuals in promoting the country's sustainable development.
The outcome of the event will be presented in the form of a strategic report to the General Secretary and senior leaders, making an important contribution to the ASEAN Blueprint 2045 Vision.
This is not only an important milestone but also opens a new journey in promoting the intellectual power of Vietnamese people in the international arena.
