On December 26, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a Labor Conference to summarize the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.
Thoroughly implementing the guiding motto of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in 2024 "Managing fluctuations, adding new motivation, renewing old motivation, creating new energy sources, reaching new heights" and with the spirit of "One team - One goal"... in 2024, BSR will focus its highest efforts on production and business activities; promote the responsibility of leaders in managing fluctuations, be ready to respond to all situations; ensure security, order and safety of Dung Quat Oil Refinery (NMLD) during the commercial operation phase and the shutdown phase for the 5th overall maintenance of the plant.
Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, General Director of BSR, said that in 2024, Dung Quat Oil Refinery will always operate safely, stably and continuously at optimal capacity. BSR has also conquered new operational limits by researching and testing CDU capacity up to 118%, RFCC 110%, KTU 140%.
The State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises awarded the Emulation Flag to BSR Company for its excellent achievements and leading the emulation movement.
During the year, BSR also recorded 49.3 million safe working hours; for the first time, the EII index was below 100 (99.7%); OA 96.2%, crude oil loss 0.14%. BSR estimated to reach 6.6 million tons of various products, exceeding the yearly plan by 15%.
By the end of 2024, BSR is estimated to achieve revenue of over VND 124,700 billion and pay the state budget over VND 13,000 billion, exceeding the set plan.
BSR has stepped up research and is ready to trial produce SAF products; research and trial process two new oils, Bunga Orkid and Murban. The company has also recorded 649 ideas and 584 improvements that have been applied.
Investment activities have shown signs of improvement, growing over 81% over the same period. The Dung Quat Refinery Expansion Project Management Board has signed and implemented FEED, Licensor, and capital arrangement consulting contracts; signed crude oil storage tank contracts, and selected contractors for the tank truck loading station project. BSR has also completed preliminary research on investment options for the Long Son Refinery and Petrochemical Complex, and participated in the development of a project to establish the Dung Quat Petrochemical Complex.
The 5th general maintenance of Dung Quat Refinery was optimized, ensuring quality, progress and cost; the frequency between 2 maintenance periods was optimized, the proportion of work performed by contractors in the industry was the highest ever in general maintenance periods.
In the work of saving and reducing costs, BSR has reduced 238.2 billion VND in production and business costs, reaching 106.7% of the plan; reduced 190 billion VND in investment costs, purchasing fixed assets...
Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to BSR Company for its achievements in implementing social security policies.
Management work is constantly being improved. BSR is a pioneer in issuing bidding management regulations in investment activities, completing the risk management framework system, promoting the effectiveness of digital applications in real-time management. Notably, at the end of 2024, BSR shares were approved for listing on the HOSE.
In 2025, BSR sets a target of 6.69 million tons of output, 114,500 billion VND in revenue, about 12,992 billion VND in state budget contribution, estimated after-tax profit of about 746 billion VND, investment value of about 1,740 billion VND. BSR also strives to exceed the output plan by at least 10%; produce at least 3 new products.
At the Conference, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises awarded the Emulation Flag to BSR Company for its outstanding achievements and leading the emulation movement. The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province awarded a certificate of merit to the company for its achievements in implementing social security policies.
