The 4th industrial revolution and digital technology in particular have had a direct impact on the development of media and completely changed the process and method of producing videos and clips. The application of digital technology in management, operation and organization of production and distribution helps multimedia products become more attractive and reach the public faster.
Statistics show that the country currently has 77.93 million internet users, accounting for 79.1% of the total population, and it is forecasted that by 2025, the number of internet users will increase to 80 million. In fact, thanks to mobile devices connected to high-speed internet, users have easily accessed video products and clips, and the trend that attracts attention is short clips with concise content.
Currently, the number of social media users in Vietnam has reached 70 million, equivalent to 71% of the country's total population. Meanwhile, multimedia products posted by media companies on social networks have promoted the industrial platform in a completely new way and created many challenges for press agencies.
Therefore, to be able to stand firm in a fiercely competitive environment, press agencies must transform strongly, taking advantage of technological developments to produce and distribute many new attractive products, attracting the public on multimedia and multi-platform trends. The class aims to train reporters and editors of press agencies on ideas, technology, camera angles, editing methods, and staging of complete videos and clips on multimedia platforms.
