(NLDO) – Coast Guard Region 2 summarizes the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and National Defense Day.
On the afternoon of December 20, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 held a conference to summarize the peak emulation period to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of the Region, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council, spoke at the conference.
During the peak emulation period from July 15 to December 31, the Party Committee and Command of Coast Guard Region 2 led and directed agencies and units to deploy activities of the peak emulation period to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day in conjunction with the implementation of the Determined to Win emulation movement.
Conference delegates
Officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 2 have promoted their sense of responsibility and determination, successfully and excellently completing all assigned tasks.
Notable results include the Regional Command dispatching 90 ships and boats to carry out missions at sea, safely traveling 43,235.65 nautical miles; inspecting and sanctioning administrative violations of 32/32 violating ships.
Colonel Tran Hong Que awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement.
In addition, the unit investigated, verified, and handled dozens of cases of violations of regulations on illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
During the emulation period, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 also coordinated with the Mass Mobilization Committees of the provinces and City Party Committees to effectively implement 4 programs "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", 3 mass mobilization programs "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious people", 5 contests "I love my homeland's sea and islands"; combined with giving hundreds of gifts to people in the localities.
At the conference, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 awarded certificates of merit to 8 groups and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in the peak emulation period.
