The factory has a total investment of more than 490 billion VND, was built from 2009-2013, operated from March 2013 to the end of 2015, then stopped operating until now. Thus, the factory has been stopped operating for nearly 10 years. According to the report, the main reason for the factory stopping operating is that at the time of production, the world and Vietnamese steel markets faced many difficulties in consumption, production costs were higher than selling prices and steel factories in Vietnam were not in the habit of using sponge iron in steel production.
