On the afternoon of March 19, at the Ministry of Industry and Trade's meeting, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien handed over decisions on personnel work.

At the conference, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Tran Quang Huy announced the Prime Minister's decision and decisions on the mobilization, appointment, transfer, and reception of civil servants leading units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Specifically: receiving Mr. Phan Van Ban - Member of the Party Executive Committee, former Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, term IV, 2023 - 2028, transferred to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to join the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, term 2020 - 2025; transferring Mr. Le An Hai - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, term 2020 - 2025 to work and hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, term IV, 2023 - 2028; appointing Mr. Trinh Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Trade Defense, Ministry of Industry and Trade, member of the National Competition Commission to hold the position of Chairman of the National Competition Commission; transferring Mr. Luong Hoang Thai - Director of the Department of Multilateral Trade Policy to take up the position at the Department of Trade Defense and appointing him to the position of Director of the Department of Trade Defense; Transferred Mr. Le Trieu Dung - former Chairman of the National Competition Commission to take up the position at the Multilateral Trade Policy Department and appointed him as Director of the Multilateral Trade Policy Department.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien said that in the current context, the reorganization of the apparatus and personnel arrangement at all levels has been, is and will be taking place. Regarding the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after implementing the Party and State's policy on continuing to innovate, reorganize and consolidate the organizational apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18/NQ-TW of the 13th Party Central Committee, dated February 26, 2025, the Government issued Decree No. 40/2025/ND-CP stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, replacing Decree 96/2022/ND-CP dated November 29, 2022.

Specifically, on March 4, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a Conference to announce Decisions on personnel work. On March 19, the Ministry of Industry and Trade continued to announce Decisions on transfer, appointment, transfer, and acceptance of leading civil servants of units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Minister emphasized that the comrades who were mobilized, arranged, and assigned today are all comrades who have contributed and held senior positions. However, in the current context, we are forced to arrange and re-arrange to both conform to the spirit of streamlining the apparatus and comply with the regulations that senior positions cannot be held for more than 2 terms.
