The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just officially announced 158 locations for the 10th grade exam for the 2024-2025 school year. The majority of the exam locations are located at secondary schools and some high schools. Of these, 11 are for specialized candidates, the rest are for regular 10th graders.
In the list above, the last 11 exam scores are for specialized students.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the city mobilized 13,539 teachers to work as exam invigilators and 2,370 employees, security guards, police... to work at exam sites.
This year's 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 6 and 7, specifically as follows:

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training also said that this year, Ho Chi Minh City has 98,681 grade 9 students registering for the grade 10 exam. Thus, this year's grade 10 entrance exam will have 78.3% of students passing the public grade 10 exam.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in the 2024-2025 school year, Ho Chi Minh City only has 98,681/114,933 grade 9 students registered for the grade 10 exam. Thus, there are 16,252 students who did not register for the grade 10 exam.
The Department has conducted a preliminary survey at the Departments of Education and Training of districts and Thu Duc city on the reasons why students did not register for the 10th grade entrance exam.
The results show that there are many reasons why students do not register for the 10th grade entrance exam, such as: direct admission to 10th grade (7.42%), choosing to study abroad or change residence (9.37%), other reasons (3.58%); in which the number of students choosing to study vocational training at colleges or intermediate schools, studying at the Continuing Education and Vocational Education Center or continuing to study at private schools accounts for the highest percentage (79.63%)...
Important milestones
No later than 4:00 p.m. on May 22: The Department of Education and Training receives data with registration numbers and exam rooms from the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment. The Department of Education and Training prints the list of candidates, exam collection forms and distributes registration forms to candidates.
No later than 5:00 p.m. on June 4: Announce the list of candidates eligible for direct admission to grade 10.
No later than 5:00 p.m. on June 19: Summarize the exam marking work; compare exam results.
June 20 (expected): Announcement of 10th grade exam results.
No later than 4:00 p.m. on June 24: Announce admission scores for specialized and integrated high schools and direct admission results.
From June 25 to 4:00 p.m. on June 29 at the latest: Candidates admitted to specialized high schools, integrated high schools, and direct admission must submit their admission applications to the schools they were admitted to. Candidates who do not submit their admission applications will have their names removed from the list of admitted candidates.
July 10: Announcement of 10th grade admission benchmark scores and list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.
