Gen Z Hanoi helps highland students nurture their passion for books

With the “Libreria Project”, especially the “Moon Dance” event, Gen Z youth in the capital hope to create a useful learning space and nurture a passion for reading for students in the highlands.

Libreria Project is a community project founded in 2020 by a group of high school students in Hanoi with the desire to spread and improve reading culture and narrow the educational gap. The project is implemented with the main activities: A series of activities to spread reading culture, Fundraising Fair combined with Book Workshop, Soft skills training session for students.

The 6th season of Libreria Project includes 3 main events: The Dreamy Streaks series of activities, the Hoat Lang spring fair, and the Nguyet Vu volunteer and teaching trip. Of which, Nguyet Vu is the closing event of the project, recently held at the Yen Binh District Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, Yen Bai Province.

Students are excited about the activities during class time.

With the Nguyet Vu event, Libreria Project has brought students useful and interesting lessons, focusing on essential skills for student development such as: Skills about puberty crisis, time management skills, skills to develop personal strengths, skills to accept perspectives...

Project members have spent a lot of time compiling quality lesson plans to bring children the most complete and meaningful learning experiences.

In addition to teaching, the project also brings a meaningful gift to teachers and students of Yen Binh District Ethnic Boarding Secondary School when renovating the school library with donated books. The books are carefully selected, suitable for the age and interests of the students, contributing to enriching the school library, building a healthy and beneficial reading environment for students in the highlands.

It is known that Libreria Project members pay great attention to stimulating children’s interest and encouraging reading habits. Previously, in season 5, the project donated more than 2,300 books of all kinds to a secondary school in the suburbs of Hanoi.
