Appointing Dr. Nguyen The Anh as Director of Friendship Hospital

At the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented Decision No. 2788/QD-BYT dated September 23, 2024 appointing Dr. Nguyen The Anh to the position of Director of Friendship Hospital.

Before being appointed as Director, Dr. Nguyen The Anh was Deputy Director in charge of professional matters, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Friendship Hospital; Secretary of the Party Cell of the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poison.

Dr. Nguyen The Anh has nearly 30 years of experience working at Friendship Hospital, starting as a treating physician in the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department. Since August 2018, he has been appointed Deputy Director in charge of the hospital's professional affairs.

At work, Dr. Nguyen The Anh always excellently completed the work plans from examination and treatment of specialized diseases in Emergency Resuscitation and Anti-Poison to disease prevention and control; organizing and building the hospital apparatus. He is always enthusiastic and dedicated in his work, together with the hospital leadership team, united to overcome difficulties.

Speaking at the assignment of tasks to the new hospital director, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan congratulated Dr. Nguyen The Anh on gaining the trust of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health. After a period of implementing the prescribed procedures, he was appointed to the position of Director of Friendship Hospital.

The head of the health sector believes that with his knowledge, capacity and experience in management and operation, Dr. Nguyen The Anh will unite with the hospital's leadership, staff, civil servants and employees to promote the tradition of more than 65 years to continue to develop the hospital and fulfill its mission of taking care of the health of staff and people.

Minister Dao Hong Lan suggested that in the coming time, Friendship Hospital should continue to focus on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment; improve the quality of medical staff; and promote the application of information technology in medical examination and treatment.

In addition, the hospital also needs to be proactive in planning, human resources, materials, chemicals... to respond to the work of disease prevention and control, environmental treatment when natural disasters and floods occur; promptly direct the monitoring, early detection of epidemics, control and contain epidemics as soon as they arise, not allowing the epidemic to spread, and at the same time, effectively and qualitatively implement annual scientific research topics in the direction of application, improve the quantity and quality of topics at the State level, Ministry level and grassroots level.

The hospital has a plan to supplement and review the staff planning, build the staff team every year, especially prioritizing training and fostering for key staff, source staff to have enough political courage, good moral qualities, good professional skills and practical capacity in organizing, directing and operating assigned tasks, meeting the requirements of stability and development of the unit. Strengthen and expand domestic and foreign cooperation to train staff, cooperate in scientific research, in accordance with the requirements of the industry, to further improve the quality of the research team.

Especially with the role of protecting and taking care of the health of cadres, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Health assigned the task to Dr. Nguyen The Anh and the leadership team of Friendship Hospital to focus on preparing their mindset, internal strength and playing a core role to consolidate the hospital's strengths as well as give good advice to the Ministry of Health in the field of protecting and taking care of the health of cadres and people.
