On January 20, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) announced the results of 13 subjects in the national high school graduation exam for the 2024-2025 school year.

The national high school exam for the 2024-2025 school year will be held on December 25 and 26, 2024. There are 6,482 candidates nationwide taking the exam, an increase of 663 students compared to last year.
Candidates took the exam at 68 examination councils with 13 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, and Japanese. This year, for the first time, Japanese was included in the exam.
As a result, 3,803 candidates won prizes, accounting for 58.68% of the total number of candidates. The leading locality in terms of the number of prizes was Hanoi with 200 prizes. Next was Ho Chi Minh City with 166 prizes.
In addition to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the top 10 localities with many excellent national students this school year are: Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Ha Tinh.
According to the exam regulations, within 15 days from the date of announcement of the results, candidates have the right to request a review of their exam papers. The Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, will issue certificates to the winning students, and the remaining students will also be recognized with certificates of having attended the exam.
According to the plan, in March 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize an exam to select high school students for national teams to compete in regional and international Olympics in 2025, for the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Informatics.
