According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, the national high school excellent student selection exam will take place in 2 days, December 25-26.
Specifically, December 25: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam for Information Technology.
December 26: Written exams in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology; Speaking exams in English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese and computer programming exam in Information Technology.
Exam paper cutting time in the exam room is 7:50. The starting time of each exam session is 8:00.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that the exam content will follow the General Education Program (GEP) issued with Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, amended and supplemented by Circular No. 13/2022/TT-BGDDT; For foreign language exams: Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese according to the current GEP and Official Dispatch 4171/BGDDT-GDTrH dated August 26, 2022 of the Ministry of Education and Training guiding the implementation of the specialized program for specialized subjects at high school level.
Before November 12, the Examination Councils need to send the registration of the number of candidates to the Ministry of Education and Training.
Before November 29, the Examination Councils will send the list of candidates registered for the exam to the Ministry of Education and Training.
The examination councils will open on December 24 and will organize mock speaking tests for foreign language subjects. Units will prepare their own speaking tests for candidates to take mock tests or for candidates to introduce themselves.
In the speaking test of foreign languages, candidates should note that when the system starts recording, they must read the exam code and the content of the questions in the exam before starting to answer in the language of the exam. Candidates are not allowed to read their full name, registration number, mention personal information in the answer, or make noises to mark their test (if they violate this regulation, their speaking test will be considered a violation).
When recording the test, candidates must speak loudly and clearly.
In the previous school year, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered to take the national exam for excellent students was 5,819. Among the subjects, Literature and English had the most candidates, with about 640 candidates.
In the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2023-2024 school year, in addition to grade 11 and 12 students, 43 grade 10 students won prizes. However, most grade 10 students won low prizes (4 students won first prizes, 7 students won second prizes, 7 students won third prizes and 25 students won encouragement prizes), mainly focusing on the subject of Information Technology.
The best achievements are 2 First prizes in Information Technology (students from Da Nang and students from the High School for Gifted Students of Natural Sciences - Hanoi National University), 1 First prize in Geography (students from Thanh Hoa) and 1 First prize in Literature (high school students from Ho Chi Minh City National University).
The Ministry of Education and Training said that the national excellent student selection exam is organized to encourage and motivate teachers and learners to promote their creativity; contribute to promoting the improvement and enhancement of teaching and learning quality; and at the same time discover learners with aptitude for subjects to create a source of training, realizing the goal of training talents for the country.
43 10th graders won national excellent student awards in the 2023-2024 school year
