Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) gave an overview of the potential, advantages and tourism development orientation of Binh Thuan . The Deputy Director of the DOCSTST said: Binh Thuan will exploit its strengths in natural resources, especially the 192 km long coastline with many beautiful beaches, many nature reserves, famous relics and landscapes along with typical cultural festivals. Binh Thuan has risen and become a safe, friendly and trustworthy destination for tourists from all over the country and abroad.

At the conference , delegates focused on introducing and promoting the tourism potential and strengths of Binh Thuan province as well as India; exchanging and promoting new tourism products; trade cooperation between the parties... Binh Thuan currently has about 600 tourist accommodation establishments with a total of nearly 19,000 rooms. In addition, the whole province also has 557 apartments and 462 villas for rent. Currently, Binh Thuan has high-end tourism products such as golf, high-end beach resorts, sea sports tourism, terrain sports tourism...

Connecting together for a future between Binh Thuan - India tourism

Regarding the tourism infrastructure system, Binh Thuan has a highway connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, ... In addition, all coastal routes connecting to the province's key tourist destinations are focused on new investment or upgrading, creating favorable conditions for tourists. In 2023, Binh Thuan province will welcome about 8.3 million visitors, of which international visitors will reach about 220,000. The number of tourists to the province increases by an average of 16.28% per year, international visitors increase by an average of 2 times per year, including the Indian tourist market.

Ms. Nguyen Lan Ngoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized : " India is a large market that Binh Thuan tourism industry is aiming for. In the coming time, we hope that Indian businesses and travel companies will pay more attention and cooperate more closely, contributing to the development of tourism in Binh Thuan in particular and Vietnam tourism in general. It is expected that around 2025, Binh Thuan will have an airport with the capacity to receive about 2 million visitors/year. Thus, international visitors can arrive directly through flights to Phan Thiet airport.

Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Representative of the Indian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, said: Binh Thuan has a unique and vibrant culture. Binh Thuan and India have cultural similarities. In addition, Binh Thuan also has strengths in sea, islands, forests, lakes, and waterfalls to organize a variety of outdoor activities. Indian tourists are very interested in outdoor activities and exploring local culture.
