Binh Thuan supports the development of rural tourism destinations

Accordingly, the Resolution stipulates the content and level of support for implementing the Rural Tourism Development Program in New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period in the province according to the provisions of Decision No. 922/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Rural Tourism Development Program in New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period; Circular No. 05/2022/TT-BNNPTNT dated July 25, 2022 of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on guiding a number of contents of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2021-2025 period under the state management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).

The subjects of application include state management agencies and organizations, individuals, and communities participating in the field of rural tourism in the province. Especially households, cooperatives, and small and medium enterprises in rural areas that have the need to exploit and link to develop rural tourism.

Support contents include: Support for developing rural tourism destinations; support for developing rural tourism products with regional characteristics; support for building and implementing pilot models for developing rural tourism in the direction of green, responsible and sustainable tourism according to decisions approved by competent authorities.

Regarding the support level, the Resolution stipulates that the support level from the state budget for all support contents shall not exceed 70% of the cost of implementing an approved model, project, or plan for mountainous districts; and not exceed 50% of the cost of implementing an approved model, project, or plan for the remaining districts. The total cost of implementing a model, project, or plan shall not exceed 2 billion VND. The source of funding for implementation shall be allocated from the state budget according to the provisions of the State Budget Law; combining the capital of programs, projects, and other legal capital sources.

Previously, according to the submission of the Provincial People's Committee, the purpose of developing and promulgating a resolution regulating the content and level of support expenditure is to create a legal basis for localities to implement the Rural Tourism Development Program, ensuring publicity and transparency in the development of rural tourism destinations and rural tourism products with typical characteristics of the province.
