On the first day of the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024, 55 racers from 26 countries were present at the competition area (Thi Nai Lagoon, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh) to practice and get familiar with the race track.
On the morning of March 22, Aquabike Promotion - the promoter of the race officially announced the list of 55 racers from 26 countries, registered to compete in all 4 categories. Among them are 20 Runabout GP1 racers, 21 Ski Division GP1 racers, 11 Ski Ladies GP1 racers, and 3 Freestyle athletes.

Aquabike Promotion representative, Mr. Paolo di San Germano, said that the tournament's website had previously announced that 62 racers had registered in advance, but for some reasons they could not attend the tournament this time. There were only 55 racers officially competing in the world championship categories of the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh. Yesterday afternoon, after considering the weather and once again surveying the competition area, the race organizing committee decided to increase the length of the race from 1,500m to 1,800m. Mr. Raimondo di San Germano - CEO of Aquabike Promotion happily shared that this is one of the stages with a beautiful race track, clear blue sea water, water surface standards, and depth are all excellent for racers to show their talents. At the same time, emphasizing that to increase the prestige of the Grand Prix at the chosen location, Aquabike Promotion specially organized the Parallel Slalom competition category, a special format that only takes place in a few Grand Prix.
The race organizers have decided to increase the length of the race track from 1,500m to 1,800m.
The attraction of this format is the competition of the best racers in 3 categories in the qualifying round (Pole Position): Top 8 Runabout GP1, Top 8 Ski Division GP1 and top 4 or 6 Ski Ladies GP1. Each category will be divided into pairs to be eliminated directly into the semi-finals and finals. The tracks are arranged in parallel, each pair starts at the same time and passes the same buoys. The racer with the fastest speed, reaching the finish line first, will win. Therefore, this format requires racers to have skills, speed and courage to be able to create classy chases right on the waves. Tomorrow (March 23), the race will take place with the qualifying round in the morning from 10:30 - 14:00 in 4 competition categories. Motocross 1 takes place from 15:15 - 16:45 with the categories Ski Ladies GP1, Ski Division GP1, Runabout GP1; From 21:00 to 23:00, the Parallel Slalom and Freestyle Moto 1 racing formats will take place.
