Commending 95 exemplary grassroots union chairmen in 2024

On the morning of July 16, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a meeting with union officials at all levels and honored exemplary grassroots union chairmen in 2024 on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024), the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Trade Union.

Attending the event were comrades: Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Do Viet Anh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

Also attending were representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Board, the Provincial Party Committee's Office, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises; leaders and representatives of a number of departments, branches, units and socio-political organizations of the province.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of the working class and the 95-year history of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 78-year history of the Ninh Binh Trade Union. Thereby affirming the role and position of the trade union in the political system and the spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers. Since its establishment, the trade union has grown steadily, making great contributions to the construction and development of the country.

Promoting that fine tradition, over the years, the Provincial Trade Union has always strived to perform well the assigned tasks, affirming its role as a solid support for union members and workers with many meaningful activities to represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises; promote solutions to mobilize resources to care for workers. Since then, union members and workers have increasingly trusted the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and trade union activities in the province, actively competing to study, work and work; agencies and enterprises are assured in their operations, production, business, creating jobs and income for workers, making important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.

In particular, trade unions at all levels in the province have focused on implementing welfare programs for union members, activities such as Tet Sum Vay, Workers' Month, Trade Union Shelters... to support and help workers' families overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

In addition, patriotic emulation movements associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle and campaigns are carried out synchronously to raise awareness, responsibility, scientific working style, sense of discipline and cultural behavior of union members and workers, contributing to building a cultural environment in agencies, units and enterprises. At the same time, importance is attached to gathering and attracting union members, establishing grassroots unions, and building strong union organizations with many positive solutions.

In particular, in order to practically organize activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Trade Union, since the beginning of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province have focused on organizing and implementing many programs and plans that have been set out. Notably, a series of events have been organized with great influence, creating trust in trade union organizations such as: "Tet Sum Vay 2024" program with activities of visiting and giving gifts; honoring and praising trade union officials, union members, workers; lucky draw...

In addition, in response to Workers' Month 2024, in addition to activities of sharing difficulties, exchanging, dialogue, and legal advice, many grassroots unions and higher-level unions have linked the organization of the Launch Ceremony with practical activities through "Cultural and Sports Festival", "Union Dance"... creating a healthy, useful, spreading, connecting and creating trust for workers in the union organization. In the first 6 months of 2024, the whole province has newly established 7 grassroots unions, admitting 4,146 new union members.

Recognizing the positive contributions of the union staff in the past time, at the meeting, the Provincial Federation of Labor commended 95 exemplary grassroots union chairmen representing 1,107 grassroots union chairmen in the whole province.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Duong Duc Khanh affirmed: These are truly typical flowers in the beautiful flower forest of the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in Ninh Binh; helping to spread trust and responsibility, continuing to inspire good things and good experiences, creative ways of doing things, aiming to multiply many typical examples in the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in the province.

Also on this occasion, 14 trade union officials in the province were awarded the "For the cause of building trade union organizations" medal by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
