BIDV representative received the award for Excellent Digital Transformation Unit from ASOCIO
Every year, ASOCIO evaluates more than 10,000 applications from 24 member associations to select individuals, organizations, and businesses with outstanding achievements contributing to the common development and application of information technology. In 2023, ASOCIO awarded 8 award categories to 52 units from countries and territories. BIDV is the only representative of Vietnam to be awarded the Outstanding Digital Transformation Unit award category, alongside other countries such as Korea, Thailand, and Singapore.
As the oldest commercial bank in Vietnam, BIDV currently identifies digital transformation as one of the three pillars of development in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision to become "the leading financial institution in Southeast Asia, with the best digital platform in Vietnam" by 2030. From 2022 to present, BIDV has achieved many outstanding achievements in the field of digital transformation; especially the launch of digital products designed specifically for different customers such as: BIDV Private Banking, new generation BIDV SmartBanking, BIDV iBank, BIDV Smart Kids...
By September 30, 2023, the number of customers using BIDV's digital channels reached nearly 12.5 million individual customers (accounting for nearly 70% of the individual customer base, an increase of 3.5 million customers compared to the same period in 2022), and 132,299 institutional customers (accounting for more than 50% of the institutional customer base, an increase of more than 29,000 customers compared to the same period in 2022). The number of financial transactions of individual customers on digital channels reached nearly 90%.

BIDV's digital transformation results have been highly appreciated by domestic and international units and organizations: The State Bank of Vietnam awarded the Certificate of Merit in 2023 to the unit with outstanding digital transformation results; VINASA awarded the Sao Khue Award to nearly 40 digital products and solutions from 2011 to present; IDG Magazine awarded the Outstanding Digital Bank Award in 2020, 2021... In particular, the award presented by ASOCIO in 2023 continues to affirm BIDV's position as one of the pioneering banks in the field of digital transformation in Vietnam, contributing to affirming its brand in the international arena.

ASOCIO was founded in 1984 in Tokyo, Japan. The organization currently has 24 associations, representing more than 10,000 multinational enterprises. The ASOCIO Award has been organized annually since 2003. The evaluation board consists of 15 members who are prestigious information technology experts in countries in the region.
In 2023, the ASOCIO awards will be presented in 8 categories: Outstanding technology company; Digital transformation; Digital government; Education technology; Medical technology; Cyber security; Environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG); Startup.
