Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên13/09/2023

On September 13, Mr. To Van Hung, Secretary of the Hoa Vang District Party Committee, Da Nang City, said that in response to the incident where parents in Hoa Bac commune did not send their children to school to protest the consolidation of school locations, Mr. Hung sent a "letter of the heart" to students in Nam Yen village.

In the letter, Mr. Hung expressed that the above incident was regrettable and sent an apology to the students: "Regardless of the reason or whose fault it was, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart to you," Mr. Hung wrote.

In the letter, Mr. Hung expressed: While his peers started the new school year a week ago, the children still have not been able to go to school. They have suffered the loss of not being able to join their friends in the jubilant atmosphere of the opening day, a day that has an important mark in the life of each student. Especially the first graders, on the first day of a big turning point in a child's life, are not welcomed by teachers with flags, flowers, smiles and warm hands to guide them as they take their first steps into a new world, the world of knowledge.

"Regardless of the reason or whose fault it is, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart...", Mr. Hung wrote.

The District Party Secretary also expressed that never before have leaders at all levels, organizations and individuals desired and created all conditions for so many students to go to school.

Mr. Hung also wrote in the letter: "The teachers did not hesitate to do anything, they went to every door, met every person in the village, even begged and shed tears in front of the villagers to apologize and earnestly begged the parents to let their children go to school."

At the end of the letter, the Secretary of the Hoa Vang District Party Committee wished the students to soon stabilize their studies and always believed that the boundless love of teachers would soon help them catch up with their friends.

17/55 students of Hoa Bac Primary School (Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City) have returned to school after many days of absence.

On the same day, September 13, speaking with Thanh Nien reporters, the leader of Hoa Bac Primary School said that 17/55 students were brought by their parents to Hoa Bac Primary School (new campus in Pho Nam village, Hoa Bac commune) to study after many days of absence.

Hoa Bac Primary School's new campus in Pho Nam village was invested with 25 billion VND.

Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, to protest the policy of merging Nam Yen village schools into the main school in Nam Yen village (Hoa Bac commune), after the opening ceremony, 55 students in Nam Yen village had not been taken to school by their parents.

Regardless of the reason or whose fault it is, I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart to you.

Mr. To Van Hung, Secretary of Hoa Vang District Party Committee, Da Nang City

The reason parents gave for opposing the school's merger was that the new school was too far away, and when students traveled the distance of about 2 km from the old school to the new school, it would be dangerous during the rainy and stormy season. After many dialogues between the leaders of Hoa Vang District and parents, they could not reach a common voice, causing the new school built for nearly 25 billion VND to still have many students absent in the new school year 2023-2024.
