According to information from the Navy, at around 8:00 a.m. on October 20, while on the Tan An Bonanza ship traveling from Brunei to Vietnam, more than 100 nautical miles from Truong Sa Island (Khanh Hoa province), Mr. Truong Xuan Thanh, born in 1998 (from Quynh Luu, Nghe An province), suddenly had pain in the right iliac fossa, with cramps.
The patient was then contacted by the captain of the Tan An Bonanza ship and taken to the Truong Sa Island Infirmary for emergency treatment at 1:00 a.m. on October 21.
Through examination, the military doctor of Truong Sa Island Infirmary diagnosed the patient with right ureteral stones.
By this morning, the patient was conscious and responsive but still had severe pain in the lower abdomen and right iliac fossa. Currently, doctors and nurses continue to monitor and treat him at Truong Sa Island Infirmary.
