Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training officially announced the 2024 High School Graduation Exam schedule at the end of June. Thus, grade 12 students only have about 2 months left to take the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, this is the last group of students to study and take the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program.
At this time, 684 students of grade 12 of Nguyen Huu Tho High School, Ben Luc District are in the final stage of preparing for the important exam. The school has closely followed the directives of the Ministry as well as the Department of Education and Training, the new points of the exam to promptly disseminate to the staff, teachers and students; the school has developed a specific plan, assigned a team of experienced teachers with high professional qualifications, focusing on reviewing for students. Through the actual teaching work, homeroom teachers and subject teachers have closely followed the learning results to evaluate and classify students in order to propose appropriate teaching and training methods.
Nguyen Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, a student of class 12A3, Nguyen Huu Tho High School, shared : “Preparing for this year's National High School Exam, I and many of my friends feel quite nervous and worried, because this is an important exam, marking a turning point for our future. With the determination to complete the exam well, I focus on stabilizing both my knowledge and spirit. Because I am strong in Geography, and at the same time, Civic Education is quite close to daily life, so I don't spend much time reviewing these two subjects, and will have more time to review the remaining subjects."
In addition, immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training's sample questions were released, the Board of Directors of Nguyen Huu Tho High School requested teachers to directly participate in reviewing for students to analyze the questions and solve reference questions, thereby helping them determine the requirements of the scope of knowledge and test-taking skills to achieve high results. For the group of students with low learning outcomes, along with the dedicated guidance of teachers, the school also encourages them to study in groups, with good students helping weak students to improve together. Teaching and reviewing are organized in accordance with regulations, ensuring enough time for each subject, closely following the curriculum framework, not putting pressure on students, and at the same time, not cutting down on lesson content.
With Literature being a special subject tested in essay format, requiring a lot of practical knowledge, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, a teacher at Nguyen Huu Tho High School, shared: "In addition to the knowledge that teachers have imparted in class, students need to follow current events happening in their daily lives by reading books, newspapers, and watching news on TV. From the information they see and observe, they present it in their writing in the most vivid and rich way possible to achieve high scores."
The 2024 high school graduation exam has a number of new points stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training in Circular No. 02 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations such as: Regulations on items that candidates are and are not allowed to bring into the exam room to serve the exam; supplementing the list of foreign language certificates used to exempt the foreign language exam in the annual High School Graduation Exam...
Phan Nguyen Trieu Man, a 12A4 student at Nguyen Huu Tho High School, said: "Right after the Tet holiday, I started to systematize my knowledge, grasp the knowledge of each chapter and each important lesson, from which I applied the knowledge to solve multiple choice exercises quickly and accurately."
According to the plan, the 2024 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2024. In the afternoon of June 26, candidates will go to the exam site to complete the exam registration procedures and listen to the exam regulations; on June 27 and 28, the exams will be held as planned; June 29 is the backup exam day. To make dreams come true, studying and actively reviewing are the only keys. However, after each class, students need to have reasonable rest and relaxation time so that the absorption of new knowledge is highly effective and the exam will promise much success./.
