On June 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Thai Binh Province prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Bui Duc Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Minh Quang Commune (Kien Xuong District) to investigate the crime of "Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties".

This is the next development in the investigation process of the case "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" that occurred in Kien Xuong district.

Previously, on June 12, the Investigation Police Agency prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Nguyen Son La (born in 1957; also known as La "crazy"; has 1 criminal record; resides in De Tham ward, Thai Binh city; hometown in Minh Quang commune, Kien Xuong district) for the crime of "Taking advantage of position and power while performing official duties".

Defendant La is a businessman who founded Manh La Company Limited. This businessman was arrested to investigate the act of colluding and influencing officials and functional agencies to violate land laws, causing especially serious consequences in Kien Xuong district.

On June 13, the Investigation Police Agency continued to prosecute and temporarily detain two commune and district-level officials in Kien Xuong district to investigate the same crime.

The case was directed by the leaders of Thai Binh Provincial Police to focus on expanding the investigation, handling related subjects and urgently recovering state assets according to the provisions of law.
