The J takes place on November 16, bringing together famous artists such as Duong Domic, Captain, Phap Kieu, TRI, O.lew, Ronboogz...

Grand concert of student "organizers"

On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, the Clover Club under the Youth Union of the Practicing High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education organized the music night The J.

As an audience member who has participated in many domestic music festivals, Do Nguyen Phuong Yen (25 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) said, "I was very surprised to know that this was a program organized by students themselves. From the sound, lighting to the way they sold tickets, organized the event, organized security... it was not inferior to that of large organizations."

Dao Phuc Nguyen, a former student of the school, said that this year the event was more "fancy". In addition to the main LED screen, they also invested in two additional LED screens on both sides.

The head of the organizing committee - Ma Thi Hoang Nhi - calculated that The J would recoup its investment from ticket sales alone. During the week of the event, The J exceeded its target.

Accompanying the event was Mr. Nguyen Nhat Duy - Youth Union assistant of the Practice High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Hoang Nhi said: "When I got the contract, the teacher was shocked that we wanted to do something so big. The teacher asked: Where will we get the money to do it? I just replied: I believe in you".

From drafting documents, selecting artists, estimating the organization budget, calculating contractual benefits with sponsors, Hoang Nhi is in charge of everything. Teacher Nhat Duy affirmed that when students have made thorough preparations, the school will do its best to support them to develop comprehensively.

Do things "no one dares to believe"

At the Practical High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, extracurricular activities have become a strong "culture". In addition to the Clover Volunteer Club, the school also has 11 other clubs, teams, and groups, from academic to cultural, sports, and arts.

Tran Ngoc An Tam, a collaborator of the School's Youth Union Executive Committee for the 2020-2023 term, calls the Practical High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, a magical place, because "here, 17 and 18 year old kids can do things that no one dares to believe."

Mr. Nhat Duy said that the former students of the Practicing High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, who are now students at universities, are all very confident and adapt quickly to the new environment. This confidence comes from the fact that they have experienced and accumulated the necessary knowledge and skills from small projects in class and extracurricular activities of the School Youth Union and the clubs they participate in.

"Therefore, when entering the university environment, the challenges of the new environment only create pressure for you to do better, but absolutely do not cause difficulties for you when facing work" - the teacher emphasized.

* Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu (Principal of Practical High School, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education):

Accompanying students

To successfully organize The J program, the school and teachers accompanied the students in many stages of organizing the program such as planning, ensuring security, health care, fire prevention, etc. In addition, the organization time must also be chosen to ensure that it does not affect the students' mid-term and final exams.

Up to now, the school's Clover Club has been established for 15 years, which is also 15 years that students and the school have organized many big events. This event alone had 1,000 students participating. Assigning students to organize such big events aims to develop students' independence and self-reliance, increase their problem-solving skills, arrange, organize, analyze problems, communicate, start-up skills, organize media, etc.

The students are very good and the school must be a place to assign tasks and stimulate creativity so that they can have more practical experiences to continue to higher and deeper levels of education later.
