Wanted suspect captured after 11 years on the run

(Dan Tri) - After 11 years on the run, Vu Huu Thuyen, a particularly dangerous wanted man, was arrested by Nam Dinh police in coordination with related units.

On January 26, information from Nam Dinh Provincial Police said that the especially dangerous wanted criminal, Vu Huu Thuyen (54 years old), residing in Dai An commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province, was arrested after 11 years on the run.

Previously, on January 21, the Working Group of the Police Department investigating crimes of corruption, economy, smuggling, and environment of Nam Dinh Provincial Police coordinated with the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in Laos; the Police of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; the Border Guard Station of Cau Treo International Border Gate, Ha Tinh Province and related units to successfully arrest Vu Huu Thuyen.

Vu Huu Thuyen is a particularly dangerous wanted subject for the crime of Embezzlement of property according to wanted decision No. 07/PC46 dated August 29, 2014 of the Investigation Police Agency of Nam Dinh Provincial Police.

After 11 years on the run, the subject was arrested in an area bordering Laos.

Currently, the subject has been transferred to the Nam Dinh Provincial Police Detention Center to serve the investigation and handling of crimes according to regulations.
