On July 8, it is known that Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong has just chaired the announcement of the decision to inspect the responsibility for implementing the autonomy mechanism in the period of 2016 - 2022 at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Pursuant to Decision No. 336/QD-TTCP dated June 18, 2024, the Government Inspector General decided to inspect the responsibility in implementing the autonomy mechanism for the period 2016 - 2022 at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
The inspection period is from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2022; if necessary, it can be considered before or after the above period. The inspection period is 60 actual working days at the unit, from the date of announcement of the inspection decision.
The inspection team consists of 11 members led by Mr. Ngo Dinh Long, Deputy Director, Department III, Government Inspectorate.
At the announcement of the inspection decision, the Inspection Team's Operation Supervision Team announced the Decision on the Inspection Team's Operation Supervision Team. The Inspection Team's Operation Supervision Team consists of 2 members, led by Mr. Do Thanh Luan, Head of Professional Department III, Department II, Government Inspectorate.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong said that this is an inspection according to the 2024 plan of the Government Inspectorate approved by the Prime Minister.
The purpose of the inspection is to assess the responsibility of the Academy of Science and Technology in implementing the autonomy regulations, detect shortcomings in the legal policy management mechanism, propose recommendations to competent authorities for adjustments, amendments and supplements to increase the effectiveness of implementation, and at the same time detect limitations, shortcomings and violations, and clearly identify the responsibilities of relevant collectives and individuals (if any).
Deputy Inspector General of the Government Nguyen Van Cuong suggested that the leaders of the Academy direct the inspected units to assign focal points to closely coordinate with the Inspection Team in providing records, information, and documents in a timely manner as requested so as not to affect the progress of the inspection; reports sent to the Inspection Team must be accurate, honest, and ensure full content; difficult issues and problems must be discussed during the direct inspection process.
For the Inspection Team, strictly implement the approved plan, minimize the impact on the regular work of the inspected units; the head of the inspection team thoroughly informs all members of the inspection team to strictly comply with the regulations when conducting direct inspections...
