“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. This is the first step for newspapers to go together. The signing of an agreement between a newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City and two newspapers in Hanoi shows that distance no longer has any meaning and this is the first step for other press agencies to share and accompany each other,” said Mr. To Dinh Tuan.

"With the youth of the Capital Youth, the diligence of the Laborers, and the strong technological transformation of VietNamNet, we will achieve success," said Laborers Editor-in-Chief To Dinh Tuan.

Mr. Tuan hopes that, as a newspaper in the top of digital transformation and technology application, VietNamNet will share digital transformation knowledge with Ho Chi Minh City press in particular and Southern press in general.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Director of the Press Department (Ministry of Information and Communications) assessed that this is a special and meaningful event, because up to now, press agencies often sign cooperation agreements with state agencies or enterprises, rarely do press agencies sign cooperation agreements with each other.

Another special thing is the signing between a central press agency and two press agencies at two ends of the country, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, three agencies with different target audiences as well as complete financial autonomy.

"In addition, when operating in the same field, there will be competition, but today we cooperate to develop. Especially in the context of fierce competition between the press and social networks, the way of doing journalism changes, I find this cooperation even more meaningful," Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu acknowledged.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu hopes that, in addition to spreading information about each other, newspapers need to work together to do a good job of communicating policies. This is something that the Party and the State have been paying attention to recently.
