The Vietnam Military History Museum (in Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) announced that it will temporarily close to visitors for three days, November 3-5, to serve the filming of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

The museum officially opened to visitors from November 1, with free admission until the end of December this year.
On the first day of opening, this place attracted a lot of visitors. Many people came early in the morning to line up, including many veterans and students.
The Vietnam Military History Museum was newly built by the Ministry of National Defense in 2019, preserving more than 150,000 artifacts, including 4 national treasures and many valuable artifacts.
The museum has two MIG-21 aircrafts numbered 4324 and 5121, a T54B tank numbered 843, and a map of the determination to fight in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign. The highlight in front of the museum is the 45m high Victory Tower, symbolizing the historic moment in 1945 when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

The indoor space of the museum is a 35.8m high building with 4 floors above ground and 1 basement floor, with a construction area of 23,198m2 .
The interior exhibition space is divided into 6 themes according to historical milestones: The beginning of the country's founding and defense; Protecting independence from 939 to 1858; fighting against French colonialism, gaining national independence from 1858 to 1945; resistance against French colonialism, 1945 - 1954; resistance against the US from 1954 to 1975; building and defending the country from 1976 to the present day.
The Vietnam Military History Museum now has many new display methods, such as 3D mapping technology, search screens, many automatic explanatory visual documents, QR codes to look up information about artifacts, more than 60 videos introducing campaigns, battles, historical figures...
