The new project, consisting of two classrooms and a kitchen in Toat village, is the first school that the Hope Fund has implemented in Tuyen Quang, sponsored by Pham Kim Group.
The Toat Hamlet School, part of Hung Loi II Primary School, Yen Son District, was inaugurated and handed over on October 30 after 5 months of construction. In addition to the cluster of two classrooms and a newly built kitchen to replace the degraded wooden structure, the old classroom block also wore a new coat of paint.
Pointing to the classroom, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thanh, Principal of Hung Loi II Primary School, said that the classroom was previously made of wood, damp, without a ceiling, and soaked with rain, so the rafters and roof were broken and had to be temporarily supported. "Now that there are new classrooms, students can study and play in a spacious, fully equipped and clean space. After the project is completed, the school plans to organize boarding. We will preserve the project well and use it effectively," Mr. Thanh said with a smile.
The project to build new classrooms at Toat school started at the end of May with a total budget of over VND1 billion, of which Pham Kim Group sponsored the entire construction cost of over VND770 million through the Hope Fund. The remaining costs include project establishment and appraisal, site clearance and some administrative management costs covered by the locality.

Ms. Do Kim Yen – General Director of Pham Kim Group said that the unit operates in the field of manufacturing, distributing cosmetics, functional foods and business training. The sponsorship cost is taken from Pham Kim Charity – a fund contributed monthly by members in the system through business activities.
"We deeply understand the importance of education in creating the future. Focusing on supporting the community by building schools, we want to help children, the future generation of the country, have a learning environment, develop comprehensively, thereby creating a premise for social development," Ms. Kim Yen shared.
The sponsor also gave 75 gifts to students at Toat school. Photo: PK
