Readers of Binh Thuan Newspaper recently visited and supported money, textbooks, and school supplies for Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, an 8th grade student at Nguyen Du Secondary School who is an orphan, but she still tries to go to school (Ms. Nguyen Thai Ngoc Han - Phu Trinh Ward supported 1 million VND and Ms. Vo Thi My Thanh, a teacher at Nguyen Du Secondary School - Phan Thiet City supported rice, notebooks, and a set of 9th grade textbooks).
As reported by Binh Thuan Electronic Newspaper on June 19, 2023: Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa (born in 2010), was born into a poor family in Phu Tai Ward, Phan Thiet City, but was not as lucky as her peers. Since childhood, Hoa's parents separated and went their separate ways to take care of their own lives. Hoa and her mother, Nguyen Thi Dung, had to rent a small house to live in. Then, more than three years ago, Dung suddenly fell ill. With no money, Dung did not go to the hospital for a thorough medical examination, but only took medicine to relieve the pain. In the middle of last year, Dung's illness became severe and she was hospitalized. At that time, the doctors said: "Dung has terminal colon cancer." In 2022, Dung passed away at the age of 43.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa is in 8th grade at Nguyen Du Secondary School and has become an orphan with no one to depend on. In early 2023, her uncle, Nguyen Thanh Hung, in KP6, Phu Tai Ward, took Hoa in to raise, but his family is also very difficult, his wife is unemployed, and his two children are still young; the family of 5 has only him as the main laborer working as a bricklayer, with an unstable income, so he is unable to help Hoa continue going to school.
Faced with the pitiful situation of Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Ms. Nguyen Thai Ngoc Han - resident of Phu Trinh ward encouraged her to strive to study well and promised that she and her family would support her with 500,000 VND per month (from July 2023 to July 2024) through the Golden Heart account of Binh Thuan Newspaper so that Hoa could continue to go to school.
