Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education said: The Provincial Association for Promotion of Education (HKH) was established under Decision No. 1607 dated July 2, 2002 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province with the function of encouraging and promoting the movement of regular learning among the people, creating conditions for all citizens to be fair and equal in learning. At the same time, supporting teaching and learning activities in the education system from preschool to university through learning models, creating learning conditions for poor students; encouraging students with good academic achievements, helping teachers in difficult circumstances. Since its establishment, through 4 congresses, under the direction of the Party Committee, the government, the coordination of mass organizations, the efforts of the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels and the support of all classes of people, the science and technology movement in the province has developed strongly.

Currently, the HKH organization has covered 100% of communes, wards and towns in the whole province with more than 1,829 branches and affiliated learning promotion committees, attracting 267,409 members to participate... contributing to the development of the province's science and technology movement, creating a strong spread. Along with the work of building the association organization, during its operation, the provincial HKH always plays a core role in coordinating with functional agencies to advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee to issue many policies and guidelines on science and technology work, building a learning society, and creating a legal corridor for all aspects of the Association's activities. Accordingly, the Learning Promotion Association at all levels is the only Association assigned by the Government and People's Committees at all levels to implement the Prime Minister's Decision on building learning models from communes, wards and towns since its establishment. At the same time, it is assigned to implement the Prime Minister's Decision on building a model of learning citizens from 2022 to present. "Persistently implementing in accordance with the principles and purposes of the Vietnam Association for Promotion of Education, the Associations at all levels do not have their own goals but serve the learning of the whole society through implementing the learning models of "Learning Family", "Learning Clan", "Learning Community", "Learning Unit" and "Learning Citizen" in the whole province, Mr. Trung said.

Bringing the science and technology movement to further development

Under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the Campaign "Helping children go to school" launched by Binh Thuan province (the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education plays the role of Permanent Deputy Head) has received active and enthusiastic support from the people and businesses inside and outside the province, bringing many practical results for the cause of educating people and social security. Thereby, it has timely supported and helped hundreds of thousands of poor students to continue going to school and many teachers who have encountered difficulties have risen up to teach well; rewarded excellent students... The provincial fund alone has annually supported and helped over 660 high school students and students from poor families who are studious to continue going to school. Every year, hundreds of college and university students receive scholarships from the "Helping children go to school" Promotion of Education Fund to graduate, most of them have jobs, their personal and family lives have improved, contributing to the development of Binh Thuan.

Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education Nguyen Dinh Trung said: In the coming time, implementing the policy of merging socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to be directly under the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education has reported and recommended that when arranging and merging, it is necessary to study and continue to perform the appropriate functions and tasks of promoting education. On the basis of high consensus with the policy of the Party and the State on arranging and streamlining the apparatus of the political system, cadres of the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels actively do a good job of propaganda and mobilization, ensuring solidarity, creating consensus and high unity among cadres, members and people of all walks of life; properly implementing regulations on fund handover, asset handover and submission of archived records... under the direction of competent authorities.
