Among the millions of tourists who have come to Binh Thuan in recent times, many tourists have been "held back" to stay for a long time with the beautiful scenery: "Blue sea, white sand, yellow sunshine", but many tourists, after "playing" with the sea, have gone to the lake - waterfall - garden to explore. At the tourist destination of Ham Thuan Lake (Ham Thuan Bac) and Trang La Ngau Bridge (Tanh Linh) during the recent holidays and Tet, there were more than 10,000 visitors, sometimes more than 1,000 visitors in a day, making these two places full of visitors, not accepting visitors without prior reservations.
Why is this place so crowded? First of all, it is the natural factor, beautiful scenery and delicious food. In La Ngau 3 years ago, when tourism was just starting, there was actually only the La Nga River flowing through the "lowland" creating a small lake, people took advantage of it as a swimming pool for visitors to come here just to admire the scenery and immerse themselves in the cool water of the La Nga River, taking a few pictures with the river scene. Later, when the number of visitors increased, some places planted flowers to create a view, some places focused on delicious specialties of the La Ngau region such as mountain goat, hill chicken, river fish, black pig raised by the locals, both to meet the enjoyment needs of tourists and to create jobs for local people. Although the legal procedures for rural tourism activities were not yet complete, the model was supported by the government, the people and especially the increasing number of tourists.

Similar to La Ngau, in Da Mi, Mr. Minh himself researched and invested in agricultural tourism by exploiting durian, macadamia, avocado, mangosteen, banana, and mango gardens, which are advantageous crops in Da Mi. With the advantage of Ham Thuan - Da Mi hydroelectric lake, from having to go by canoe to the fields to work in the garden to occasionally hiring tourists who want to go to some islands on the lake to camp overnight. Mr. Minh has invested heavily in yachts for guests to enjoy the lake and mountain scenery and opened tours to explore the islands growing fruit trees on the lake.
Mr. Minh confided that at first, he had not calculated so he thought that guests could freely eat all kinds of fruits available in the garden, but when the price of durian and mangosteen in the 5 hectares of garden was not enough to supply customers, they had to buy them from outside, so he suffered heavy losses. Later, he still gave incentives for guests to enjoy fruits in the garden but limitedly. In particular, in Da Mi, besides the beautiful scenery, the cool "miniature Da Lat" climate all year round, plus the "pick-your-own-eat" fruit trees, there are many natural fish dishes from Ham Thuan lake such as goby, lang, lim kim, hill chicken raised on durian (in season) that make tourists fascinated... According to Mr. Minh, agricultural tourism - rural tourism in Binh Thuan has recently developed very strongly, meeting the needs of tourists following the trend of developing green tourism. However, most tourist destinations still face difficulties in completing legal documents. “If I receive financial support, I will invest in expanding the scale such as building more homestays, training staff, expanding promotions... Besides financial support, the province needs to create conditions for rural tourism establishments to complete their legal status so that they can pay taxes in full, contributing to increasing the province's budget revenue,” said Mr. Minh.
As for Mr. Loc, if he receives financial support, he will invest in raising hill chickens, mountain goats, and indigenous black pigs for ethnic minorities in the area to create jobs and increase income for them, while also meeting the consumption needs of tourists...
Besides the two rural tourist destinations of La Ngau and Ham Thuan - Da Mi lake in the province, there are many other rural tourist destinations in districts, towns and cities and most of them have a certain number of visitors...
A quick look shows that agricultural tourism - rural tourism has contributed to the rich and diverse tourism industry in Binh Thuan. Meeting the needs of domestic and international tourists. If you look far across the provinces and cities, the image of foreign tourists coming to travel but being able to try riding buffaloes, planting rice, picking tea... In Binh Thuan, tourists can row basket boats with fishermen, pick dragon fruit with gardeners or go to Da Mi fruit garden to visit and enjoy specialties such as macadamia, durian, mangosteen, and on holidays, wrap banh chung... that is one of the bright spots for tourists to immerse themselves in nature and the daily work of farmers - fishermen but very strange to city people and international visitors...
Supporting funding to stimulate the development of agricultural tourism - rural tourism is a strategy for rural areas to have the opportunity to increase their income. Besides, it also creates diversity for the tourism industry as well as constantly improves and innovates so that the tourism industry attracts more and more visitors. Above all, it is an inevitable direction for Binh Thuan to develop green and sustainable tourism...
