The 2025 National Beach Wrestling Championship and Youth Championship has just ended in Vung Tau city, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in coordination with the Vietnam Sports Department and the Vietnam Wrestling Federation.
Match in the tournament
The tournament attracted nearly 350 athletes from 26 units to compete in the Beach Wrestling Championship and Beach Wrestling Youth Championship for men and women in various weight categories. In the men's championship, wrestlers competed in weight categories from 50kg to 90kg, while female athletes competed from 40kg to 80kg; the youth group (16-17 years old) was also classified similarly to ensure professionalism and fairness in the competition.
The tournament aims to respond to the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" in the province; is a playground for athletes to demonstrate their talents and an opportunity to develop a stronger beach wrestling movement across the country; is also an opportunity to select outstanding faces, prepare for international tournaments in 2025 as well as towards the 2026 World Youth Olympic Games.
Athlete To Minh Hau (Bac Giang, podium number 1) received gold medal in the 80kg weight category at the tournament.
The Bac Giang delegation had 13 athletes, competing with determination to win 01 gold medal, 01 silver medal, 05 bronze medals; in which, 01 gold medal belonged to athlete To Minh Hau in the 80kg weight class./.
