On November 3, answering VTC News, Mr. Pham Hung Dung, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics, said that representatives of the school's leadership had visited and awarded the graduation certificate to student VVT (residing in Binh Thuan province).
''VT was a good student, sociable and very active in school movements. He graduated with honors in Business Administration. Unfortunately, last August, just before the day he was due to receive his diploma, he had a traffic accident and passed away," said Mr. Dung.

On November 2, Mr. Dung led the delegation to pay their respects, offer condolences, and present diplomas and certificates of merit to students who achieved commendable results in the entire 16th college course (2020 - 2023). VT's father dressed his son in a graduation gown and received the diploma from the school representative.
It is known that VT has been an excellent student for 12 consecutive years. When he came to Ho Chi Minh City to study, VT went to school, worked, and saved money to buy a motorbike for convenient transportation. VT always tried to take care of himself, study well so that he could help his parents in the future.
Before the accident, VT was studying English to take the IELTS exam and planned to study at a university.
Unable to hold back his emotions, a lecturer from Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics shared: "A diploma, a certificate frame, a reward, a graduation gown, congratulatory flowers, a graduation bear, but next to it was a white flower basket, a fruit basket to go to my house. It took nearly 4 hours to get to my house, choking up the moment my parents lit incense and prayed to put on my gown to receive my graduation certificate after that tragic accident.
The day I went to school for my graduation exam was also my fateful day. A good child, a good student, always excellent in academics... Leaving home and returning to the city, I still feel heartbroken and sorry for you!".
