Impressions of the Artistic Photography Festival of the three Hanoi

(NADS) - According to tradition, the Art Photography Festival of the three Photography Associations of Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City will be held alternately every year between the Associations. This year, the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association will host the Art Photography Festival with the theme "Spring Colors of the Three Regions" opening on March 15, 2024 at the Hue City Culture and Sports Center.

The exhibition was honored to welcome delegates: National Assembly Deputy Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; NB - Artist Ho Sy Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, Editor-in-Chief of Photography and Life Magazine, Head of the Theory and Criticism Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Artist Le Nguyen, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, President of the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee; Writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, President of the Thua Thien Hue Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Researcher Nguyen The, President of the Thua Thien Hue Folk Arts Association; Mr. Dang Hung Dong, representative of the Dang family in Thua Thien Hue province.

The Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City Art Photography Festival brings the public to the cultural beauty, people and landscapes of the three regions of the country. This year's Photo Festival has 90 works, each Association participates with 30 works. The 90 photo works are 90 flowers shining brightly, reflecting the beauty of Spring in the three regions, vividly depicting the Spring day of each locality.

Seminar "Commemorating the 155th Anniversary of Cam Hieu Duong Photo Studio" (March 14, 1869 - March 14, 2024)

Besides, the Photo Festival is also an opportunity for photographers from the three cities to meet, exchange and discuss photography expertise with many special programs, connecting photographers: such as organizing seminars, cultural exchanges, creative practice...

Within the framework of this three-city Art Photography Festival, the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association also coordinated to organize an incense offering ceremony for the famous Dang Huy Tru, a mandarin of the Nguyen Dynasty, the first Vietnamese to bring photography to Vietnam, at the Dang family temple, Thanh Luong village, Huong Xuan ward, Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue province; a seminar to celebrate the 155th anniversary of the establishment of Cam Hieu Duong Photo Studio (March 14, 1869 - March 14, 2024) at the headquarters of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Thua Thien Hue, No. 1 Phan Boi Chau, Hue city, chaired by writer Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Thua Thien Hue; a photo exhibition "Fatherland on the shore of the waves" in the garden of Diem Phung Thi Exhibition House, Hue city.

Early in the morning of March 16, 2024, the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association organized a delegation from three cities to work in communes of Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue, led by Artist Dang Van Tran, President of the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association, Head of the delegation and Artist Nguyen Phuc Thi Xuan Le, Vice President of the Thua Thien Hue Photography Association, Deputy Head of the delegation. The first location was Ngu My Thanh village, Quang Loi commune to hunt for the dawn of fishing boats on Tam Giang lagoon, and the daily life in Bich Hoa village.

Continuing the journey, the delegation arrived at Quang Dien district, where they were warmly welcomed by the district leaders. The delegation visited, took photos of the landscape, craft villages, tourist attractions and daily activities in Quang Phu commune; Bao La Bamboo and Rattan Cooperative in Quang Phu commune; visited the Memorial House of General Nguyen Chi Thanh in Niem Pho village, Quang Tho commune; and Quang Tho Rau Ma Cooperative, Quang Tho commune.

In the afternoon, the group continued to compose at Thanh Trung clean vegetable village, Quang Thanh commune; the daily life of fishermen at Tan My beach, Cuong Giang village, Quang Cong commune and the Fish Sauce Production Facility.

The activities within the Artistic Photography Festival of the three Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City Photography Associations this year were truly successful and meaningful. The photographers expressed their delight and gratitude for receiving enthusiastic support, welcome and help in the ancient capital of Hue during their time in the land of exchange and creation.
