Signing ceremony of the Coordination Program in developing effective and sustainable agricultural and rural tourism for the period 2025

On April 1, 2025, at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Signing Ceremony of the Coordination Program in developing effective and sustainable agricultural and rural tourism for the period 2025 - 2030 between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Agriculture and Environment took place.

Attending the signing ceremony of the cooperation program were comrades: Pham The Xuyen - Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Xuan Canh - Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Nguyen Minh Phu - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; comrades in the Board of Directors and leaders of departments and units under the two Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; leaders of the Community Development Fund of Dien Bien province.

The coordination program is an important task in concretizing and implementing the Coordination Program No. 04/CTPH-BNN&PTNT-BVHTTDL dated August 23, 2024 between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in developing effective and sustainable agricultural and rural tourism in the period of 2024 - 2030. Thereby, strengthening the coordination between the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to maximize resources and potential for developing agricultural and rural tourism in an inclusive, multi-value, effective and sustainable direction; effectively using resources in agriculture, craft villages, ecological environment, rural landscapes and cultural values typical of regions; contributing to promoting tourism to become a key economic sector of the province in the coming time.

At the signing ceremony, the leaders of the two Departments assessed the current situation and agreed to sign a Coordination Program in developing effective and sustainable agricultural and rural tourism for the period 2025 - 2030, including: Regularly exchanging, providing information, data, and documents; Organizing surveys, working with, and guiding localities in developing agricultural and rural tourism; Organizing conferences, seminars, interdisciplinary survey or inspection teams related to the field of agricultural and rural tourism development; Organizing inspection, supervision, destination management, and quality management of rural tourism services; Deploying pilot models and specific solutions related to the field of agricultural and rural tourism development; Coordinating the implementation of plans, programs, promotional activities, and introducing agricultural and rural tourism destinations and products; Integrate and coordinate the organization of trade promotion activities, introduce agricultural products, OCOP products, promote the consumption of agricultural products through tourism; Support the construction, development, and positioning of destination brands and agricultural and rural tourism products; Promote the connection of agricultural and rural tourism with travel activities, increase the attraction of tourists to rural areas; Coordinate the construction of a database system on rural tourism; Propose mechanisms and policies to support the development of agricultural and rural tourism...
