An Giang inaugurates provincial road worth over 100 billion VND

Accordingly, the project to upgrade and expand the road to the Oc Eo - Ba The Special Relic Site, part of Provincial Road 943, has a total length of 14.768 km. The project starts at Thoai Giang Bridge and ends at Muop Van Bridge, Thoai Son District.

The roadbed width of the project is 9m (road surface width is 8m, sidewalk width is 0.5m x 2 sides = 1m). The section through Oc Eo town in particular has a roadbed width of 10m (road surface width is 9m, sidewalk width is 0.5m x 2 sides = 1m).

The total investment of the project is 104 billion VND, from the budget of An Giang province. The Project Management Board for Investment in Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works of An Giang province is the investor.

The project started on November 14, 2023 and was completed on August 20, 2024.

The project was inaugurated on important holidays.

"The project was inaugurated on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birthday (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2024), the 45th anniversary of the re-establishment of Thoai Son district (August 23, 1979 - August 23, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024)", informed the leader of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of An Giang province.

DT943 route is 64km long, starting at the 4-light roundabout (Long Xuyen city) adjacent to National Highway 91 and ending at Tri Ton intersection (Tri Ton district). This is the longest provincial route passing through 3 administrative units of An Giang province: Long Xuyen city, Thoai Son district and Tri Ton district.
